Panasonic Returns Policy

Panasonic New Zealand is committed to total product support for our customers throughout the useful life of your product by providing:

  1. Genuine Spare Parts
  2. Service information - Service manuals, technical bulletins, etc
  3. Specific Technical Training
  4. Technical Support
  5. Customer Care Call Centre

Warranty Period

  • Panasonic Hi-Fi Audio and Theatre Systems are sold with a 12 month warranty commencing from the date of purchase
  • This warranty covers parts & labour and excludes optical cleaning
  • It does not cover accident, damage or misuse
  • The warranty becomes void if the product has been tampered with, damaged by accident or in any other way due to improper use
  • The warranty period does not apply to any consumer type product that has been purchased for the purposes of a business, these terms are defined under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
  • This warranty does not cover products purchased second hand or via parallel import

Returns Process

Customers who have purchased Panasonic products from our website or via telephone can return the product purchased for assessment under the 12 month warranty provided these steps are followed:

  1. Call the Panasonic New Zealand Customer Care Centre on 09 272 0178 for trouble shooting assistance
  2. If they cannot resolve your problem/problem is not due to user error, you may return the product to us in its original packaging along with all parts and accessories
  3. Contact Customer Care on 0800 728 728 or email hello@redrat.co.nz to register your reason for return
  4. Please also note your reason for return on the tax invoice and include it with the product you are returning
  5. Return the product and invoice to the Red Rat Distribution Centre at the following address:

  6. The cost of postage for returns will be at your expense until otherwise advised and refund of any original shipping costs are at our discretion following its safe arrival at our warehouse and confirmation that the product is faulty
  7. Please hold on to your return postage receipt and tracking number as proof until full refund or replacement has been completed as Red Rat Clothing Ltd and Panasonic New Zealand are not responsible for any items lost in transit
